From Royal College to the Operating Theatre
Dr. Tharindu Samarajeewa grew up in Kiribathgoda, Sri Lanka — a straight-A student at Royal College, Colombo, who went on to earn his MBBS from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura on his very first A-Level attempt.
After graduating, he didn’t take the easy road. He chose the most demanding clinical environments he could find — first a Neonatal ICU, then an Emergency Treatment Unit in Akkaraipattu’s Eastern Province, and finally the Neurosurgical Emergency Unit at the National Hospital of Sri Lanka.
These years forged something rare: a physician who combines the calm precision of a surgeon trained in life-or-death situations with a natural artistic sensibility he’d carried since childhood. That combination would later become the defining quality of every hair transplant he performs.
